We are home from the most amazing week long vacation to Miramar Beach, FL. I’ve had several of you requesting information on where we stayed and what all we did so I wanted to write it all up here for you. We are pretty chill when we go so I don’t have a ton of restaurant recommendations but will share what we did! We stayed here and have a couple times now because we love the location. You are right by the grocery store, several places to eat and the beach is slightly more private. We always drive but there are two airports within an hour of it if you prefer to fly. You truly cannot beat the white sandy beaches and gorgeous water.
As far as places to eat, we walked to Whale’s Tail and Surf Hut and had planned to go to LuLu’s but didn’t make it this trip! We also made sure to get Whataburger and Chic Fil A (I know, I know super classy..haha) because we don’t have either one by us and we love both. If you get a chance, I HIGHlY recommend making a trip down 30A to Seaside! It’s the cutest little town with lots of awesome restaurants. Fun fact about Seaside is that the Truman Show was filmed there!
On one of the days we did lunch at the Whales Tail, we went down and the kids did the banana boat ride and had an absolute blast. You can also rent wave runners and play on the inflatables.
Our absolute favorite day of the trip, was our day with Destin Pontoon. We rented a pontoon boat with a Captian, slide and tons of water toys to take us to explore Crab Island. We got to see dolphins, enjoy the gorgeous water (go early because the tide changes in the afternoon and the water isn’t quite as clear) and used the paddle boards. Our Captain, Stephen, was awesome and showed us some other hidden gems and took us to lunch at The Gulf (highly recommend). After a full day on the boat, we swapped out to dry clothes and went down to the Harbor. There was tons of things for the kids to do and several restaurants to eat at. The kids did several activities while I enjoyed daiquiris out of a pineapple (yum!) We ended the night at Tail Finns on the patio with yummy food, live music and fireworks. I believe they do the fireworks every Thursday during summer season.
Other than that, we spent our days on the beach and evenings crab hunting. I hope this was helpful! Make sure to tell Ms. Mary and Destin Pontoon we sent you!
